Sign Up For Winter Track 2026 Here
Winter Track is a 7 week program that meets 5 days a week (M/T/W/F/SA), with the goal of providing athletes
an exciting and supportive training environment, competitive opportunities, and building a strong base for their
outdoor track seasons.
The program is for athletes of any level — from those looking to excel in their outdoor track seasons, all the way to
kids just interested in trying out distance running. If you like distance running you are welcome!
The program is open to all athletes who are 7th graders- 12 graders. We do accept younger athletes on a case by
case basis. Please reach out to a coach if you have a younger athlete who is interested in participating.
How Can I Sign-Up?
Sign-ups will be collected via a google form that you can fill out here. We accept
cash, check, and venmo (@Sabercat_Track_Club) for payment. Checks should be
made out to “Sabercat Track Club.” Cash or check payments must be made
before the athlete's first practice.
Runners are required to have an active AAU
membership for insurance and racing purposes. Runners will need to have this completed by the first
practice – we have a detailed description for how to sign up on our “How to Sign-Up for AAU” page.
However, please reach out to us if you have any issues with the AAU membership. We have a page on our website that will walk you through the steps for AAU registration.
What do you get?
Access to two days a week in the weight room at CVHS led by our strength and conditioning coach (normally a $150 value on its own, but free when you sign-up for our winter track program.)
5 days a week of run coaching designed to meet you where you’re at, challenge you, and set you up for a great track season.
Access to our training plan via google sheets, so you can stay training even when you can't make practice.
Why Run Track?
Track is a no cut sport that requires no experience to join. Whether you’re brand new to the sport or you have
years of experience, you’ll have coaches who challenge you and a great group of teammates to push you to
be the best you can be.
While getting in shape is an important part of winter track sharing the experience with teammates is truly
what it's all about. When we ask graduating seniors about their favorite part of their HS experience, winter
track always ranks near the top. It's where they made great memories sharing snowy winter miles, and grew
from teammates to best friends.
For 7th and 8th graders, it's a way to learn the basics of running and experience a taste of what track is like.
We have had many of our younger athletes go on to have district-qualifying spring seasons, with a few school
records and nationally competitive times as well.
Winter practice is never mandatory, and even if you play another sport, we are happy to strike a balance that works
for you. Please reach out if you have questions about how we handle dual-sport athletes.
We emphasize consistency, discipline, and hard work; values that have helped our athletes accomplish great things in and away from the sport.

looking to add new runners to the program.
